Creating Favicon.ico Icons

You know how when you add a URL to your favorites and sometimes you get a little picture that usually the company logo or something similar to that and it's also present in the website address bar when you visit the website?
Here's an example:

Here's the easiest way I've found to create that image. If you know of an easier way OR how I can do it in Fireworks, please let me know.

I use a free program called IconEditPro. You can find it here:
http://www.iconedit.com/
It's an old school app but it works.
